I'm doing a Marines-Cuban with Target right now, set in '63. Bay of Pigs only the 151st Brigade doesn't get left to die.
Are you aware just how bad the Cubans will get slaughtered in '08? AFAIK the Cubans don't have anything that will scratch the paint on an Abrams. Very little night vision gear on the 40 year old Cuban tanks. Maybe some RPG-7v's for the Cuban infantry, which will not stay alive long enough to use them.:pullhair: The Cubans can't fight, can't run, can't hide, so expect them to be slaughtered. As long as you are good with that.
If you want to play the Cubans, the 60's and 70's are the time periods you want. Cubans in Angola vs South Africa ('74-'75) makes for a good fight.
I know cubans have very little odds against USA in modern era battles. It´s a worth of try though. Shitty quality of units is compensated in low prices I believe? I favor quantity over quality ;)
Besides fighting against US troops warms me in special way, I doesn´t matter that small nations have little to none chances of victory. Viva la revolucion!
