Hi guys; I understand some of you blokes possess this game. I am thinking of picking it up but I am wavering a bit. My question is: do you think it is worth the cost? Would you buy the game again now that you have played it?

I was reading on the Matrix forum and it sounds like the game is incredibly lopsided to Germany, with them capturing Paris in 1916 etc.

I love WW1 stuff, but I am just not sure about this one and I am tired of buying games to find out they suck.

Any feed back is appreciated.
I think the game is rough around the edges but it is pretty fun. As for it being lopsided to Germany, I did take Paris but that was about all I could do and I did it at the expense of losing in the east. I think it is pretty balanced. If the Germans push everything to France then they can indeed take Paris, but it will cost them elsewhere.

The only thing I do not like about the game is that artillery units do not count against stacking. The way the system works it means that you can create an uber deathstar artillery stack and use it to totally annihilate an emeny, regardless of how entrenched they are. This is something that should seriously be addressed IMO.
There ia a big patch 1.2 to come out

I have it . Looks interesting hope it can be adddded to the ladder here . The map mod and counter mod arereally nice
Could do with a counter mode for PZC ?

Its big hex and a lot of Art units could be there. Maybe an HQ should govern how manyshould fire

I was thinking about the ladder thing too if enough people get it. PBEM games are becoming rare now.

Thanks for the replies guys...still not decided yet though. Which side of the fence??
