Gents,

This is the third revision of these, primarily just making them ME playable.

The Fight at Sinkawang II

26 January 1942
Singkawang II Airfield, Borneo: After being delayed nearly a
week by bad weather, the Japanese plan to finish off Allied forces
in the northwest corner of Borneo had gotten underway on the
24th of January. A portion of the Kawaguchi Detachment landed
on the west coast of the large island, at Pemangkat, and advanced
east, on the Pemangkat-Sambas road, toward the Dutch airfield
Singkawang II. On the 25th the Japanese arrived at a village
about 2.5 miles northwest of the airfield and went into camp
in preparation for the advance on the field planned for the 26th.
On the 25th, also, the Dutch forces hurried their preparations
for the evacuation of the field and began destroying supplies
and the barracks there. In order to buy additional time, a spoiling
counterattack was planned. Over the night of the 25th/26th,
the Dutch Defense Battalion, accompanied by the Commonwealth
2/15th Punjabi Regiment (much cut up, but now rested and resupplied,
after it's fighting at Kuching, a month before) took up positions
and prepared to buy some time.

The End at Sinkawang II

26 January 1942
Singkawang II Airfield, Borneo: After the failed Allied spoiling
attack, made earlier in the day, the Japanese force (elements
of the Kawaguchi Detachment) pushes on toward it's goal at Singkawang II Airfield, intending to storm the place at night. By this
time the Allied force, including Dutch troops and the remnants
of the 2/15 Punjab Regiment, is hurriedly expediting it's preparations
for a retreat southwest to Ledo. The front line units must hold.

For those interested, I hope you enjoy them. They are the 3rd and 4th of the northwest Borneo campaign: Kuching, Bukit Stabar Airfield, The Fight at Singkawang II, The End at Sinkawang II.
