This series of charts is simply a basic at-a-glance guide to compare AFV guns penetration for fun.(30-degree sloped armour at 100 metres)
Note Tungsten and Hollow-Charge were not always available, especially early in the war.
Note the asterisk denotes guns with low muzzle velocity (under 400mps, and therefore low accuracy)
Also remember large-calibre shells (105mm and up) usually have very long reload times.
How to read the chart example - the 75mm-armed Marder in the top pic gets a sensational pen of 150 when firing tungsten (white dot), but the pen drops to just over 100 when firing AP (red dot), and drops to under 50 when firing HE (green dot)

any tips on hull down? does it work? does it protect your tank (less hit percentage) while giving it LOS. i find that my tank's LOS is blocked even with a nice hull down at times :(

Yes mate, hulldown works very well but don't go too far back down the slope or the crest line will block your LOS. And don't rely on the 'Hulldown' order, it's unreliable. Position your tanks by eye like this -

BRITISH

The 2-pdr/ 6-pdr/17-pdr weren't issued with HE until later in the war.
Noob note - some tanks were fitted with different guns throughout their career, that's why a tank might appear more than once on the charts
