I've read the manual about mine-clearing units.

I tried moving an engineer platoon into a minefield and it set off the mines....

Also can engineer platoons build a bridge?

one would think after playing the game off and on since the original EF I would have run into this problem/question before... :(

The Matrix edition does plan to enable this feature in the future as well as the creation of mines and blocks.

At present in the current TS version and Matrix version 1.01 you cannot

There is also an issue with the Matrix version that causes mine clearing units to get attacked by the mines version 1.02 due out this week wil fix that

they still work , but they they are not imune to getting killed now , i still use them and now i even risk sending my armor into the minefields, keeps it interesting. just cross yor fingers and pray!!
