I was on course for a minor win most of the game but Sphinx obliterated my left flank and sent a lone Firefly looping into my rear to pick off a Tig from behind on the very last turn and rack up enough kill points to tie the game..




Groan, this is Sphinxes lone Firefly picking off the Tiger at the far end of a line of 3. (the Tig commander quickly ducked down when the shot hit)
I had them there with their turrets pointing backwards to meet the Firefly, but he got the first shot and my other two couldn't quite see him round the building due to my sloppy positioning..
PS - note its turn 25 (the last turn) and note the clock (41 secs) and note the score 54%-38% in my favour, in other words I'm on course for a minor win with only 19 secs of the game left, then I lose the Tiger and
it ends in a draw..
The moral? - it's never over til it's over..
