I'm taking the lack of response as a no, there is no interest in an 'open game'. Big Grin

Perhaps the idea was a bit 'out there' because players would not get to pick there own forces, they would not be responsible for the state of their men when they played a turn, and could not control what happened in subsequent turns.

Or maybe I just explained it really badly

Thanks for listening...

Cheers

Hello Cross,

Well, if you are fishing for a multi-player game, sometimes it's better to try for a team effort.. too many players in a single game can be unwieldy.. teams of 2 work pretty well, but even then it's a stretch to keep the game going - unless everybody is severely dedicated to the effort.. and then real-life will cause interruptions anyway.

If you are interested, we can try and put together a team game for 2 players per side..

Did somebody say "Team Game" ? :grin2:
I'd be interested in a team game...if ya want tocheers
Hello Cross,

Interesting concept, perhaps a major question would be is how to track who has the turn.. say one person is interested in playing a turn, but 2 people download it, play and upload.. now you have 2 uploaded games running, possible at different turns even.. this could sno-ball rapidly and become confusing as well as unmanageable.. better to have a tourney with a tourney master I think - to keep things organized and moving in a desired direction.

While an interesting concept, I think for most players, it might be a little frustrating to set a working plan in place, play turns getting the plan into action, only to have someone else take the turn over that is not aware of the strategic goal, and throw the wrench into the air intake.. wrenches and compressor blades don't mix real well.. personally, I'm not sure how many times I might be able to handle getting hit with the wrench before I was too frustrated to continue..

too many chiefs, and not enough indians perhaps..

As for a team game, with defined opponents.. I enjoy those alot.. and yes it does take a large commitment to keep one going.. second only to a tourney..
