Full Version: Captured troops and their effect on FF?

I'm sure someone has answered this before, but can captured troops act as a human shield, i.e. do the FF routines still kick in regarding captured troops so that you could use them to stop the enemy firing on some of your troops by placing them next to captured troops?
We could call it the AL Keida defense:kill:

You get more points for keeping them alive, and in a close battle their survival could win you the battle.
You got 3 or 5 points per 'tongues'. But. You can't really use them as human shield, because they are inclined to desert! Happened to me in a pbem, I got my crew back (but I sent them to the gulag, I couldn't trust them any more)
That certainly happened in CMBO, although I think you could get round it by area firing. Not sure whether it survived into CMBB/AK...
