Okay or not ??

If someone gives up his reinforcement hexes and still calls for reinforcements he has it coming.

Not to mention the Poles...., but pretty much all minor countries are dead meat in SPWAW. Ruined the game for me.
Not true, I have won battles with Poles against Germans, not to mention Finns vs Russians which is a total slaughter of Ruskies most of the time. Some minors are not as good but they can give up a good resistance usually.

I did too, when I played SPWAW/H2H...

...but only when the opponent was a newbie. ;)

Every time I faced a player with experience levels similar to mine, the Poles took a beating. Played the Poles quite a lot.

In fact I think the mod-makers of SPWAW made it a point to increase exp/morale for minor countries to make them "playable".
You have a good point there, should have tried Jad with the Poles :)
if we talk SPWW2 I could take Poles against any nation in september 1939. Did it before, they stood well. Only problem is currently no time for bigger battles.
Also played a lot MBT with Poles in 70's & 80's. Cant remember to be smashed (beaten, yes. But there were good wins against W.Germany and French as well.)
As a fact, most of the minor nations that fought alongside the US and Britian in the later stages of WW2 fought very well.
That proves General Slim was correct when he said something like; 'there are no bad Regiments, just bad officers'. Given good officers and good equipment, the Italians fought well under the allied umbrella. The Poles were excellent in Italy.
In WW1, 12% of the American Army in France was Italian. Earning their citizenship the traditional way. They fought very well, much better then their brothers and cousins in Italian uniform. So it cannot be the nationality that sets combat performance.
