Just an observation while I was playing K'44 tonight. Most German SS infantry companies have a soft attack range of 2. I assume that is due to the plethora of MG42s.

Yet, the SdKfz 10/4 20mm only has a soft-attack range of 1.

I think it is safe to say that one of those 20mm death-mobiles should be able to reach out farther than the venerable 7.92mm that the MG42 was spewing out.

Opinions?

I was just going to reply to this one but Ed beat me to it.

In any case, this is an OOB that was created by Jim Dunnam and I am not sure that Jim would recall exactly what he was thinking when he assigned the 2 range to the units in question - I suspect it was a hold over from the Normandy OOB which he and WIg Graves created.
