My Windows died last night. Corrupted files on my system files. Ouch I didnt need this right now :(

Anyhow I went ahead and purchased Vista 64bit and all am in the process of recovering all my emails and files. Sadly this means all my WW2 and MBT are now dead. I should hopefully be up and running tonight and hopefully have my email recovered by then to send you all a message.

So far I really like Vista. Very smooth install.
Gary, once you re-install the game, can't you continue your/our games with the files sent from your opponents?

It would seem that it should work that way.
I think it will end up with a directory has changed error Montana. I will have all my SP games reloaded by tonight or tomorrow so I will try the files you sent since I was able to recover all my emails and address book.

Let you know asap.

Hmm..Okay,but I would think it should be okay,as something similar happened to me last month, and everything re-loaded fine. But we'll see. We can always start over:smoke:
Hi guys,

As long as you aren't using 'full security' any MBT/WW2 game will work just fine..

With Full security there will be problems.. and most likely any 'full security' games will gind to a screeching halt..

For WAW based games - you'll get a security warning that says your installation is corrupt.. but you'll be able to carry on w/o problems..

Jeez - this seems like the year of SP - players computer crashes.. my old warhorse went AWOL on me last November (?).. I've seen post's for quite a few others it seems this year..

Yep! Very bad for me! My flamethrowers didnt seem to get across the message that he wasnt welcome! I brought my B25's in too early.

I have the machine up and running and all game reloaded just have had no time. This evening I will though.

Vista 64bit loaded perfectly and so far other than hogging more memory than I would like it runs very nice. Still waiting for Nvidia to release its driver so my SLI will work and speed it up even more.

You'd think with everyone knowing about a new software release that they'd have drivers and such ready to go also.
MS didn't give them much time with the code ... and my xp with Vista is quite bad, only positive thing is better protection that it is supposed to give but otherwise its slow and only looks pretty. In office behind heavy firewalls it gives nothing positive to a user ... or administrator compared to XP.
