I want to install the new V3 patch for MBT but still have some 2.51 games to finish up first. Can i just copy and paste the folder to a new location and rename it say MBT 2.51 then apply the patch to the original folder?
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the PBEM security would say that the location was different and flag up a problem. Or am i thinking of SPWaW. :conf:
Thats the way I do it. If you play with basic security you should go fine after that. If it is full security then your PBEMs are screwed.

Czerpak is quite correct. as long as you are only using Basic Security you are sweet to copy and paste the entire directory and give it a different name.
It means you can do a nice fresh install for this new version too...

Thanks for the reply guys...i may wait to install the new patch because i'm hoping to buy the CD versions this week (providing i can pry the credit card away from 'she who must be obeyed' LOL) so i can use ALL the lurvly features in the new patch. :)
