How do you get engineers to build fords where once where blow bridges?
Is it just the blow up wall/bridges command and I've just been unlucky with die rolls, or what?
Engineers cant make fords. They can make light bridges at the spots of fords with the destroy command, but it is more a bug than a feature, as the hexside will keep its ford parameters.
I learned that fact playing Road to Oboyan. I "blew up" fords, and saw light bridges appear. I was experimenting more than anything. I was delighted because I thought I had eliminated the enemy's ability to roll heavy armor across the river. Unfortunately, I subsequently watched as the enemy armor moved across what appeared to be light bridges. Huib is correct. The ford hexside continues to function unchanged.
