I have uploaded Rev. 2.0 of RS Twice Driven Off
into the H2H scenario devolopment section.......
...I beefed up the U.S. Marines/Raiders to give them
a much better chance of succeding......
also changed the VP Hexes a bit....
Koiari...Bougainville..on November 29th the 3rd Marine Division
invaded the beaches off Kaori with a predawn amphibious landing.The
Marine forces came ashore on the edge of large Japanese supply
dump. Elements of the Japanese 23rd Infantry Division reacted
quickly and pinned the Marines on the Beach with heavy fire. Landing
craft attempted to extract the force were twice driven off. It
was not until late in the afternoon that air support and naval
guns silienced the strong Japanse defense and the Marines were
able to get back out to sea. This is a semi hypepothetical PBEM scenario
giving the Marines a chance to take Koiari late in 43'...Rev. 2.0
