Great raves to Jason's news but what happen's to all the work put into the new blitz CD.Will that be included will all the mod's be there will all the H2H Scenarios be available all the work Earl has put in to keep the game alive Questions????????????????.The hard work some of the blitz members have put in over the last 2 years is worth more than just a package from a gaming Company like Matrix.IE ok with XP and directx-give me a break do better than that. Some enhancements all our blitz work(ie you guys that done it)scenarios etc.Ifor one am i bit dissapointed unless someone comes up with why we should buy a CD that works ok with XP and Directx and nothing else.
John you make several good points. But as it stands now when I try to make scenarios some CS players can't play them just like I have a hard time getting Earls scenarios to work. Maybe the Matrix edition will help in that direction ? :conf: cheers

Gary
AHA But will they be included.
Not to worry John..you can always get them from me :-)
I would say if Matrix wants to improve CS, first thing to do is to NOT include 99% of the old stock scns..... Replace them by better scns that are plentyful available :soap:
I guess that about covers it Huib :-)
I agree with Huib

If Matrix wants to make some money (which they sure do) they shouldn't reissue old stock. I'm not so rush to make significant changes in the game engine, but some new scenarios, units, flags etc, would be great. If they issue old "stuff" that may be difficult to make people to buy it :P
Might be wrong on this one but i thought the whole idea of Matrix getting in touch with this club etc was to get the game moved forward a bit ie with all the new ideas and scenarios etc.Damn if onl i could right and understand the machine code for games i would think of one myself.Sadly thats noy going to happen.
I will push to try to include as many advancements and new goodies in the first release as possible, but keep in mind the limited time to put this together. Too many new features without proper testing is going to degrade the series release and require a plethora of patches.

Take care and good luck
Jason Petho
Jason is absolutely correct when he states "Too many new features without proper testing is going to degrade the series release and require a plethora of patches."

I still don't understand however why "stock" scns are scorned. If it is case of repetition, that makes sense. Otherwise, Doug Bevard made the best scns ever for the CS.

My two cents..
Mike
